In this electronics project we are going to control fan or light bulbs without using arduino.

Technology Used :

This project uses simple DTMF technology to control lights with phone anywhere from the world.

Components Required :

Ic - MT 8870
Relay Module - 5 Volts
Resistor - 1 Kiloohms
Resistor - 10 Kiloohms
Resistor - 220 Kiloohms
Resistor - 470 Kiloohms
Capacitor - 104 pf
5volt C connector socket
5 Volt DC power adaptor(Mobile Charger)
Crystal - 3.579 MHz
Stereo Audio Jack

Working

The heart of the project is the DTMF Ic MT8870 or you can use CM8870 IC also which is a DTMF decoder. This ic converts the tone frequency signals to digital outputs.
We know that on dialing mobile phones whether its android, apple or older phones all are producing a tone with respect to specefic numbers. We use the reverse technique ie, decoding the frequency here.
Here we can control 4 outputs in general.
If we need more outputs we go for demultiplexing of signals which increases the circuit very complex.
This is the very simple and easy to use circuit project for control lights with phone ever made without using any microcontroller ic or by programming
