Automatic plant watering system - This is an electronics project used to water plants when the soil moisture content goes low.
We are using arduino for this project. Sothat errors in soil sensing can be removed.
Soil sensing is an important step in automatic plant watering system.The soil sensing gives us the percentage of water available in the soil.As soil is sensed flickering can happen which may result in false signalling to the water pump.This can be removed using arduino programming only.Thats why we are going for arduino.

Procedure Working
Initially make sure that the soil we took here is in dry condition. This is necessary to calibrate the soil moisture sensor which act as input to arduino.
Second step - We need to adjust the soil moisture potentiometer and and then turn on water pump.
This condition is used to check the soil moisture sensor. Here at a certain level of water the soil moisture content will be equal to the preset value( calibrated value).As a result arduino process the value and program condition is checked here, sothat arduino will automatically shutdown its output.
As a result the relay connected to the output of arduino will turn off.circuityep.com.The process will continue automatically whenever the soil moisture goes below the calibrated value.
This is how automatic plant watering system / automatic plant irrigation system works.
