Arduinodroid not working or errors | Cannot open connection to mcu, problem uploading to board, compilation error, uploading error, no board found can be troubleshooted easily.

This happens primarly if your phone doesn't support OTG.The OTG will supply proper supply to arduino.

So you should check whether your OTG connection is enabled. In some devices this connection is always on and there will be no option of OTG.

You can simply check whether arduino is connected to the device just by plugging the arduino to your mobile device. You will see LEDS on arduino lights up.

Cannot open connection to mcu

Can't open connection to mcu error in arduinodroid is as follows :

»This error will popup when the above condition is not satisfied.

» Also you must replace the USB wire with a new one. There may be malfunction/electrical isolation/short in USB cable wires.

» The problem will be solved 100 percent.

» Switch off the phone and switch on acts like a refresh/restart the app. There may be a chance in working.

» Check with another arduino board

Arduinodroid no board found

» The no board found issue in arduinodroid is quiet often.Just check the above conditions are OK.ie, arduino lights up.

» Click on the three dot seeing on top rightmost corner of arduinodroid app.

» Then go to settings which is shown in the image below.

» Click on board type

» You can see arduino in the board list

» Just select the desired board,in this case I use arduino uno.So I select the Uno option.

» Then try compile and upload to arduino.

Arduinodroid library

How to install library in arduinodroid?

There is a common issue in arduinodroid mobile arduino app that some libraries will not install or the program will ends up in library error or there is no such library.

In arduinodroid app there are two ways for installing a library

1. Search the library within arduinodroid app.

2. Search the library outside arduinodroid app, that means search through google.

Many people think that arduino windows software and arduinodroid mobile app are different.Ofcourse there is difference.

I say like this because both arduino windows and arduinodroid mobile app works in c and c++ compilers in common. So both share same compiler.

We must also understand that the libraries provided by both are almost the same.So I will suggest anybody to take libraries using google search. You will get the library as zip format and install it in your arduinodroid app.So the problem will be solved there itself.

If the libraries provided or installed inside the arduinodroid app not working,

Go and search in Google, download library as zip and directly install it which is shown in the figure below.

Library installing in arduinodroid app

» Click on the three dots on top rightmost corner of the app.

» Select Libraries option

» Click on manage libraries

» You will see two labels like installed and available

Installed : We can see all the installed libraries here

Available : We can see all available libraries here. You can search libraries(which is shown in the figure below) you want.and install it.

Important : The internet should be on while you go for available option

Library installing as zip library

» Click on the three dots

»  Select libraries option

» Select add zip library

» select desired library

» Click on done

»  Zip library will be added to arduinodroid library. You can see in the image below.

Arduinodroid not working, Arduinodroid error-How to solve these errors?

» Arduinodroid problem uploading to the board

» Arduinodroid compilation error

» Arduinodroid uploading error

» Arduinodroid no board found

Arduinodroid problem uploading to the board

Again, this issue is because of OTG issues or malfunctioning of USB cable wire.Check whether OTG is working as I mentioned in the first priority itself and replace the USB cable with a new.

Arduinodroid compilation error

The compilation error may occur usually as a mistake happen in program. It can be because of some statements, conditions, usually because of mistake made by ourselves. So try to find out where is the mistake.

It's just like troubleshooting a hardware issue.

The compilation error can also happen when ,

» the library is not installed properly.

» Another chance for this error is that you have used a different library in the program.

» The version of library play a little role in making errors.

» The version arduinodroid app/arduino windows software in general makes errors.

So recheck the library installed and version of the software/app.

Arduinodroid uploading error

The uploading error in arduinodroid happens when OTG power is removed or some electrical isolation happened in USB cable as we mentioned earlier.

Just remove the cable from the arduino and reconnect it to the Android mobile.Your problem will be solved.

Restarting phone is another idea as some apps eg.arduinodroid needs some refresh in its working.

Otherwise change upload option.

Change uploader in arduinodroid app

» Just go to three dots

» Select settings

» Select app settings

» Click on uploader(in upload)

Here you will see three options

1. Internal

2. AVR dude

3. Internal if supported, avr dude otherwise

By default the first or third will be selected by device itself

Please select AVR dude as uploader option. Then compile program and upload to arduino. You just click on upload options in arduinodroid app.Your problem will be solved.
